I am Yohannah El Bey, owner and loctician at Yohannah EL D Loctician.
My journey with hair has been one of growth and purpose. Over time, I came to understand that hair care is more than a skill or a way to earn a living. For many of my clients, the salon chair becomes a place of comfort, conversation, healing, and transformation.
I believe that our headspace carries so much of what we experience in life the beautiful moments, the difficult ones, the stress, and the growth. These experiences can influence how we feel about ourselves and even how we care for our hair.
My purpose is to provide more than loc maintenance and hair services. I want every client who sits in my chair to feel seen, supported, and cared for while receiving professional attention to the health, beauty, and growth of their hair.
For me, being a loctician is about building trust, creating meaningful connections, and helping each client feel confident in their natural journey.

Yohanna, her aura, and the vibes in her shop were top notch, A1, and EXTREMELY ZEN!!!! Even though she’s quick, she takes great care while doing it to ensure that it’s perfect. I used her to do my daughter’s locks for prom and my daughter and I are beyond please so now me and my daughter will be coming to her regularly.
